tamara tambonationTamara was born in Miami, Florida into an entertainment family. Her father is a top music industry executive and her mother is an actress and producer of theatre and film. Tamara is a bi-cultural being, having spent the first eight years of her life between Europe and the US. She has traveled, lived and studied in Madrid, London, Florence, New York and Miami, but always calling Miami her home. She studied Fashion Design at Fashion Institute of Technology and Visual Arts & Photography at Miami International University of Art and Design. She has interned in the fashion industry as well as took courses in fashion styling, photography and art direction, which remain passions, where she developed a keen eye for art, leading her to style in the fashion world and dive deeper into her love of art. She has worked for O.H.W.O.W Art Gallery and recently created an installation art performance piece for Art Basel 2011 at The Awarehouse. This piece was based on her blog, TAMBONATION and was presented as a 3D visual and interactive art experience. Tamara’s career direction has expanded into film, performance art, videos and installation art to go along with her self-portraiture and jarring photography.

Her latest work is a collaboration with, Paul Isaac, of the band, PEOPLE FROM VENUS. It’s an edgy short-film called, “BALL OF LOVE”, stemming from the alienation we all feel being born into a society of repression and destructive environmental tendencies. The film is about seeing what is really true and present just beyond the noise. Tamara art directed and was in charge of wardrobe and continuity the film which was accepted to Raindance Film Festival in London.

This project led her to move to Los Angeles, CA where she was offered a steady on-house styling position at Sercer Studios. Don Sercer the photographer really wants to take his studio to the next level as well as do more creative shoots so thats what has been happening since her move to LA and she has hopes to branch out and meet more people through work, creativity and her love of fashion and surrealism.

Tamara has an intensive portfolio of styling, drawing, painting, fashion design collections, sewing, short film wardrobe, art direction, and trend forecasting collages!
